The right time for consuming carbs? Day or night?
This question has popped up many times. A lot of people
asked me if eating carbs was best at day or night.
Let get things straight,
eating carbs at any time of day is okay. It is not harmful eating carbs at any
time of the day. As long as you are not taking in more than you should then
it’s okay to eat carbs. Although caloric surplus is the main problem here.
Don’t eat during night? Why?
But why most people suggest to eat in day time and not in
night time, you ask? Well, it’s not the timing that matters, it’s your caloric
surplus factors that matter the most.
Let’s talk in detail. By night time, your workload is done
and so is your mind free of all the things. You are likely to eat more than you have planned to during your dinner
time and enjoy the food you’re eating. Also, you are possibly going to snack a
little bit while watching a program or reading or just relaxing.
You don’t
realize how much you have consumed by night time and that being in most cases,
a little extra than your recommended amounts.
Not forgetting the fact that they
hit the hay without any much physical exercise. So, all the calories you just
obtained was for what? Nothing really. There it is. The reason why most people
say to eat during the day time rather than at night.
Bottom Line
If you can control over-eating then go ahead, enjoy your
dinner, keeping in check of your calories so you don’t over consume anything.
But, if you are likely to overstep the mark then it’s better to keep your
dinner as light as possible.
