There are both good and bad fats. Chia seeds have the good fats that called omega 3 in the form of alpha linolenic acid. Not as effective as the one from fish oil but still has many benefits. A study conducted in 2017 concluded that people who ate 30 gram or more of chia seeds daily for six months reduced their waist circumference by 3.5cm as compared to those who ate oat bran.



Lowers Cholesterol

Not only do they are the good fats but once they enter your body, they lower your bad fat too. The bad fat includes triglycerides and LDL cholesterol. Also, they increased HDL cholesterol that is good for the heart.


Blood Sugar Controlled

Spikes and instant decrease in blood sugar levels can contribute to chronic diseases. A study by European journal of clinical nutritional found that eating chia seeds with bread aided in stabilizing blood sugar levels in the participants for two hours after consuming them.
