What should you eat in a day?
Plus, if you look it at that way, it does makes meal
planning everyday simple and basic for us. The reason being we know what we
need to eat and in what amounts. What food group has higher servings and what
needs to be used sparingly.
So, talking in detail about the food groups, there are six
food groups.
Basically you need to consume all of your item from 6
different food groups that include the following.
1- Carbohydrates
That being the whole grains, bread, pasta,
rice, biscuits, cereals, etc.
2- Proteins
Protein rich foods include eggs, fish,
legumes and lean meat.
3- Fats, Oils and Sweets
These includes the: -
Food rich in fats being oils, salad
dressing, mayonnaise
Food rich in sugar include cakes, pies,
cookies, desserts etc.
4- Milk and milk products
Milk being the obvious item in this group
and then comes yogurt and cheese.
5- Fruits

To state the obvious, fruits includes
apples, bananas, oranges, kiwi, strawberries etc.
6- Vegetables
Broccoli, cabbage, onions, legumes,
cucumbers, potatoes etc
